Deposits:
  • Puppies are reserved and held with a deposit and signed
    contract/health guarantee.  Deposits are $100.00 non-refundable.  
    Deposits can be paid with cash, US postal money orders only,
    personal checks or with a major Credit Card through PayPal. Once
    Ocean Breeze Dachshunds receives the deposit and signed
    contract/health guarantee the puppy will be marked and considered
    sold.

  • Deposits are taken after the birth of the puppies.

  • Choice of puppy is determined on a first come (deposit received) first
    to choose basis.  Puppy will be placed on "pending" for four
    business days, while waiting for a deposit.  If deposit is not received
    in that time, the puppy will be placed back up for sale.

  • Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE, except in cases of illness prior to
    the delivery of your puppy to you.  If you change your mind and do
    not want or cannot take your puppy, you forfeit your deposit. The
    decision to welcome your new family member should be well
    planned and thought out way before you began looking and impulse
    buy.  

  • Buyer will pick up puppy when it is eight weeks old, or the puppy will
    be shipped when it reaches 10 weeks old.  There will be a $35.00
    per week boarding charge (This helps pay for food, my time to potty
    train and socialize etc.) plus any other expenses if buyer is not able
    to pick up puppy between 8 and 9 weeks old.  Two weeks or more
    with no attempts to make pick up arrangements or attempts to
    make plans with Ocean Breeze Dachshunds, the buyer then forfeits
    the puppy and any deposits or payments made on puppy, unless
    other arrangements are made with Ocean Breeze Dachshunds.  
We reserve the right to not sell to
anyone at anytime!
Shipping:
  • Puppies will not be shipped before 10 weeks of age no exceptions.
    All my puppies come with a Florida Health Certificate including
    puppies that are scheduled to fly.

  • Shipping has to be prepaid before leaving to their new home. Once
    payment is received I will get a list of flights on different days and
    times and we can decide what will work best for both of us.I will
    schedule the flight and confirm with you.

  • Final payment plus shipping costs ($250.00 on average) must be
    made by 7 weeks of age and can be made by personal check (this is
    the only case other than initial deposit in which I accept personal
    check payments & this is strictly for puppies flying out only!) This
    check must clear the bank before I book flight.

  • We can ship 2 puppies together in the same crate for an extra fee of
    $50.00 as long as they come under the weight limit (9 pounds)

  • We ship through Continental airlines only out of Jacksonville Florida

  • We do NOT ship puppies to destinations outside the 48 continental
    United States

  • During extreme hot or cold temperatures, flight arrangements may
    take a week or more, due to limited times when temperatures are
    conducive.

Pricing:
Our puppies are priced depending on color, coat and gender you are
interested in. Pricing is based on "pet only" basis. This means your new
puppy will be registered with AKC "limited" and you must sign a spay &
neuter contract. I offer this as a discounted option. Your AKC registration
form will be sent to you upon proof of alteration from your vet.  However if
you are interested in FULL AKC papers please call and we may be able to
provide this service to you on selected puppies, however you will be
charged the full puppy price which is generally $200.00 more.

* Why can't you ship me my puppy at 8 weeks? *
I do understand the excitement and thrill of having a puppy ASAP but
my main concern is the overall heath and safety of each individual
puppy. Our puppies are shipped when they are mature and confident
enough to safely change their environment - not when the calendar
says they are old enough.  Some ARE ready at 8 weeks but some are
not. I anticipate only shipping maybe 1 or 2 from a litter, the others
will be picked up from our home locally. Allowing an extra 2 weeks of
being away from their siblings and spending some time gaining
confidence will greatly benefit them in their flight experience. I do this
as an extra effort taken to familiarize your pet with the airline crate so
that your puppy will arrive to you safe, healthy and happy.

Repeat Buyers:
If you have purchased a puppy/dog from us you will receive $75.00 off a
subsequent puppy. This can be at the same time or a future litter. Please
do not rush into welcoming 2 puppies into your home. It's like raising
twin babies!  
Coming to our home:
I strongly encourage every prospective puppy buyer, or even someone
who would just like a smile to come and meet my family, 2 legged and 4
legged alike. I only ask that you DO NOT visit any other home, breeder,
or pet store before coming. I care too much for my dogs/ pups for them to
be put at risk of catching infectious diseases such as Parvo.
Something such as this would be absolutely devastating and deadly.
